My son RYAN read "Owly Book", and loved it. So much so,that night he put pen to paper and wrote his own short story titled "A Forest Tale". He brought it into school and when the teacher asked why did you write this story,he said he loved the book so much,he could be a writer one day, like Orla Kelly! What an inspiration a local writer can be in a young community. Could not recommend these series of books higher.-Suzi

Connall went into the playroom tonight with a pen and paper saying "Ive been inspired by Orla Kelly to write a story". He really enjoyed your visit to the school today : ) Thanks for giving them your time! Sinead

Got a present of the Owly Trilogy and Mommyville On The Road To A PhD In Parenthood. The Owly books were great for downtime and for reading going to bed, letting the subtle life skills and positive messages time to filter through to my kids. I know as my younger child grows up she will pick up more! For them all its just great stories. Mommyville reminds me of the chaos I face when I come home from work! Gret fun and totally agree with life behind the scenes parenting! Helen

I love these type of books anyway. They are wholesome, earthy and me being a country woman loved the whole idea of teaching kids through a story in a forest setting. No problem getting my kids out appreciating the world around them now. Thanks for reminding them and me about all the good things in life. Siobhan

Getting a great kick out of Mommyville-tonic for the soul! Thoroughly enjoyed! Linda

Loving your Mommyville book. Don’t get much time to read but when I pick it up again I can so relate to it! Michelle

I loved this book! It made me realize that I was no small challenge for my own mother (and grandmother). With all the books I read from month to month, I have to say that this was one of the most enjoyable that I've read in quite a while. I felt as though I were a "fly on the all" in the author's home as I watched the action unfolding from one page to the next. If you need a mood-lifter in the midst of your own hectic schedule, I very much recommend, "Mommyville - On The Road To A PhD In Parenthood." (Name not given)

I can honestly say I smiled, laughed and enjoyed every page of mommyville. As a parent of older children for me it was a trip down memory lane. It is an honest book that all mums (and dads) can relate to. A heartwarming read which is full of humour, love and fun.

Half way through Mommyville and loving it, especially about the homework part! Yvonne

I thoroughly enjoyed every chapter of reading Mommyville. The humour and honesty of how parenting really is these days, with all the trials and tribulations, made me feel that I'm not alone in this wonderful and sometimes crazy rollercoaster of life. A must read for all mums. Ciara

Excellent advice.I really enjoyed this book. (Learning to reconnect the pieces of a life shattered by PTSD). Although I don't have PTSD myself, I found the practical steps, advice and encouragement useful for any type of negative situation involving the mind, thoughts and emotions. Today, many of the experts seem to believe medication is the answer for everything. I disagree with this. If you can't function in day to day situations because chemicals are numbing your mind, what good is that? As far as counseling goes, I think it's great to have people giving encouragement and advice, but ultimately, you have to learn how to do certain things yourself. This book is will help you in that area. It will teach you simple methods and how to apply them in a very realistic, practical way. (name not given)

Great! -Learning To Re-Connect The Pieces Of A Life Shattered By PTSD Mary

(PTSD In Children Growing Up And Its Influences On Adult Life)- I really like the way Orla breaks down the subject of PTSD into understandable chunks of information that anyone can understand. Before reading this book, I had no idea PTSD was something a child could be afflicted with. If you have, or think you have, people in your life who suffer from post traumatic stress disorder, I highly recommend Orla Kelly's books and website on the topic. (name not given)
